The Problem with "Space"
When we launched Lunar Reach. Like many agencies in the tech space, we leaned hard into the aesthetic. We had the dark mode UI, the constellation illustrations, the “rocket ship” jargon in our sales pitches, and a logo that was a little too cartoony.
And it worked, for a while!
But we felt we didn’t add enough value in explaining why reaching for the stars is the way forward for all businesses and how we can help them do so. It felt vague. We realised we had become a generic space-themed agency in a sea of other generic agencies. We were offering “innovation” and “disruption” without actually defining what we were innovating or where we were disrupting.
We were obsessed with the cosmic aesthetic and making the website look as space-themed as possible.
So, we did what most would do: we shut it down, took the hit, and started again. New website, new marketing materials, new software and a new look into who we can actually help. So, not just a rebrand but a full overhaul.
What This Means for Our Clients
Nothing! Well, actually it does. As of writing this, we are more transparant that we were, we always made sure our clients new everything that was happening and tried to keep everything simplified. We have simplified it all again to ensure nothing is misread, misunderstood, or leaves you scratching your head after a meeting.Â
